ABOUT US
Perspective changes when the conversation does.
Shift Collective Perspective was built around a simple observation:
People often don’t need another explanation of being well.
They need a conversation they can recognise themselves in.
Lived experience can create that recognition differently.
It can reduce distance.
Make difficult subjects feel more human.
And help people put words to something they may have been carrying quietly for a long time.
That’s where SCP works.
WHY SCP EXISTS
Some things are difficult to see from the inside.
Pressure can look like strength.
Coping can look like performance.
Avoidance can look like independence.
And someone can appear completely capable while quietly moving further away from themselves, the people around them, and the support available to them.
SCP exists to bring another perspective into the room.
Not to diagnose people.
Not to tell them what is wrong with them.
To create enough recognition that someone might notice something earlier — and have a different conversation because of it.
BUILT FROM LIVED EXPERIENCE
Experience changed the perspective.
SCP grew from experience across very different rooms — corporate environments, leadership, treatment, recovery, peer support, mentoring and conversations with people navigating significant pressure and change.
Founder Cameron Ramsay spent more than two decades working in high-performance luxury automotive environments before his own experience of burnout, treatment and recovery changed his understanding of performance, pressure and support.
In the years since, lived-experience conversations, mentoring and work alongside treatment environments have reinforced one idea:
People often recognise themselves in another person’s experience before they are ready to recognise themselves in a framework.
That insight became Shift Collective Perspective.
OUR ROLE
Alongside. Not instead of.
SCP does not replace psychologists, EAP, HR, leaders, clinicians or existing wellbeing programs.
We work alongside them.
Our role is often earlier in the journey — helping people recognise patterns, find language for what is happening and become more willing to use the support already around them.
We help make the next conversation easier to have.
BEYOND FIRST IMPRESSIONS
There is always more to someone.
Behind roles, performance, behaviour and first impressions are people carrying experiences we often know nothing about.
SCP creates room for curiosity before assumption.
For someone to hear something and think:
I do that.
I’ve felt that.
Maybe I should talk about that.
There is strength and depth in people that isn’t always visible from the outside.
Sometimes it takes the right conversation to reveal it.
WE GIVE BACK
What we have can be shared.
We believe contribution is part of wellbeing.
That might be time. Experience. Skills. Resources. Money. Attention. Connection.
SCP is committed to contributing time, lived experience and financial resources back into communities that can benefit from them.
And we invite the organisations and people we work with to consider the same question:
What do I have that could be useful to somebody else?
Giving back isn’t only about what another person receives.
Purpose, connection and contribution can change something in the person giving, too.
SHIFT COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVE
Different perspective.
Earlier recognition.
Better conversations.
We believe meaningful change often begins before the solution.
It begins when someone sees something differently.
That’s the shift.
